Education Meetings in Baku in Cooperation with Turqua Group and Azeredu
Turqua Group conducted a visit program in Baku in cooperation with Azeredu to strengthen educational relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. Joined by a delegation from Istanbul Nişantaşı University, the program brought together representatives of education consultancy agencies, university administrations and diplomatic representatives.
The program introduced Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s educational opportunities and explored areas of institutional cooperation through an agency meeting, a visit to the Turkish Embassy in Baku and meetings with universities.
Meeting with Education Agencies at Hyatt Regency Baku
The program began with a gathering of representatives from education consultancy agencies operating in Azerbaijan at Hyatt Regency Baku.
The meeting, attended by Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komşuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, Rector of Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Dr. Ecmel Ayral, Member of the University’s Board of Trustees, and our Chair of the Board, Nagehan Yanaz, presented the university’s academic offerings and educational opportunities for international students.
Questions from participating agencies regarding application procedures were addressed. Discussions also explored ways to help Azerbaijani students access accurate and comprehensive information about higher education options in Türkiye.
Visit to the Turkish Embassy in Baku
Following the agency meeting, the delegation visited Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share information about educational relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan and the activities undertaken during the Baku program. Discussions highlighted the importance of supporting the longstanding ties between the two countries through cooperation in higher education.
Cooperation Meeting with Odlar Yurdu University
As part of the university visits, the delegation met with the administration of Odlar Yurdu University. Discussions explored potential areas of academic cooperation with Istanbul Nişantaşı University and opportunities to strengthen communication between the institutions.
The meeting addressed areas of cooperation that could bring together the educational expertise of both universities through joint initiatives.
Developing Existing Relations with Azerbaijan Medical University
During the meeting with vice-rectors and representatives of Azerbaijan Medical University, discussions focused on broadening the scope of existing cooperation with Istanbul Nişantaşı University.
The university delegations exchanged views on further developing academic relations.
Visit to Türkiye–Azerbaijan University
The program also included a visit to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Necibe Nesibova, Rector of Türkiye–Azerbaijan University and former Education Counsellor at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara.
The meeting explored opportunities for educational cooperation and addressed the importance of mutual communication and the exchange of experience in higher education relations between the two countries.
Meetings Supporting Educational and Cultural Ties in Baku
During the Baku visit, the delegation also met with Ms. Sabina Salmanova, Member of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan. Bringing together representatives from the education sector, the gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and personal connections.
